My Story
"The Shortest Distance Between Two People is a Story"
Entering the New Jersey public school system at an elementary age from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Dr. Wagner Marseille experienced the motivation and encouragement of educators who believed in his potential. He graduated from Princeton High School with a full athletic scholarship and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Marseille then obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Rider University and earned a Doctorate in Educational and Organizational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. 
  
His almost 30-year educational career encompasses nearly every facet of the K-12 school experience. Dr. Marseille has worked as an aide, coach, classroom teacher, assistant principal, director of secondary education, assistant superintendent, acting superintendent, superintendent, and most importantly, parent of a school-aged child. His most recent experience includes serving as the Superintendent of the Wallingford-Swarthmore and Cheltenham school districts and Acting Superintendent at the Lower Merion School district.  
  
As a lifelong educator, Dr. Marseille believes in the foundational power of teacher-student solid relationships and excellent curriculum and instruction.  His lived experience as an immigrant, experiencing poverty, shaped his passion to ensure equitable access and opportunity for all students, especially those who have historically been marginalized.  His work has focused on breaking down systemic and historical practices, procedures, and policies that create barriers and deny access.  Dr. Marseille believes this work helps empower families by opening doors and building bridges for children who have historically been denied access to opportunities. Equity, Access, Inclusion, and Belonging shape how he leads transformational change.
